Art and culture
Take the tram towards the city centre and step out at the Nationaal Monument on the Dam. Various places of interest and museums are within walking distance from here. Madame Tussauds is close by, as is Koninklijk Paleis Amsterdam and De Nieuwe Kerk with its interesting exhibitions. If you walk on further, towards Westerkerk, you’ll arrive at the world-renowned Anne Frank Huis.

Theatre
Leidseplein is just 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel. A Valhalla for music and theatre. Choose from the varied programmes available at different theatre and music venues: DeLaMar Theater, Theater Bellevue, Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, Paradiso and Melkweg. You can also visit the theatre around the corner, literally in this case: Apollofirst Theater also has a surprising programme of performances.

Children
There are a number of great attractions for the children along the way to central station. They can make interesting discoveries about science and technology in Science Center NEMO. The Scheepvaartmuseum is close to NEMO, where children can see and experience how the Netherlands is formed by the sea. They can also walk around the East India Company ship, De Amsterdam, berthed next to the museum.

Parking and forest
The city’s largest park, Vondelpark, is not far from the hotel. Free concerts and performances are given in Vondelpark Openluchttheater throughout the summer. Amsterdamse Bos (forest) is just a few kilometres drive from the hotel and in the summer months you can enjoy large-scale theatre events in Bos Theater.
