Meetings on the coast

The location of Badhotel Domburg – Hampshire Classic, directly by the sea and around the corner from the centre of Domburg, can only work to inspire business guests. The hotel also has various extra facilities, such as free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, personal attention and support from hotel staff, freshly-ground coffee beans (very important for a good start to the day!) and free use of the swimming pool and wellness facilities.

Meetings on the coast of Zeeland
Badhotel Domburg – Hampshire Classic’s five sunny rooms are extremely suitable for meetings, seminars and training. These are provided with all required modern equipment. For groups of around 120 people, the rooms can be combined. Small groups of around ten people can also use one of the five suites. And as you only have to take a few steps out of the hotel to reach the beach, it’s easy to take a break every now and then. So you can take a breath of fresh air and clear your mind. Or build a sand sculpture together, under professional supervision.

Enjoy total relaxation

The centre of the historic seaside resort of Domburg is within walking distance of the hotel. Here, you’ll find convivial outdoor cafés, beautiful shops and historic buildings. Domburg is the oldest seaside resort in Zeeland. The combination of extensive forest and dune areas, wide beaches and fresh sea air already made this seaside resort popular in the seventeenth century. Things to do in and around Domburg:

Art and culture
The Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum is in Domburg. This museum has regular expositions from famous artists from the original Domburg artists’ colony, such as Mondriaan and Jan Toorop. Zeeuws Museum is located in the medieval abbey in the centre of Middelburg. On the basis of contemporary presentations the museum shows an unexpected side of Zeeland.

Nature
Domburg borders the surprising nature reserve De Manteling, a unique forest on the edge of the dunes running from Domburg to Oostkapelle. The Forestry Commission has laid out a number of beautiful walks here. Terra Maris in Oostkapelle brings the history of the Zeeland landscape and richly varied nature to life in changing expositions. In Berkenhof’s Tropical Zoo & Vlindertuin you can see a beautiful collection of tropical plants, butterflies and birds.

Children
Het Arsenaal in Vlissingen is the Netherlands’ largest pirate park. Children can experience here how it is to be a real pirate. At the Voetbal Experience in Middelburg you’ll learn all there is to know about Dutch footballing history and you can even have a quick game. Learn more about Zeeland’s history at Deltapark Neeltje Jans in Vrouwenpolder. At this extremely interesting theme park about the Deltawerken you can also see a seal show, water slides and a water playground.

Enjoy regional and seasonal produce

Restaurant Zee&Land
Restaurant Zee&Land has chosen consciously not to use tomatoes from gas-heated greenhouses, or African beans but to use seasonal produce from the local area as much as possible: preferably organic. There are mainly dishes from the new Dutch kitchen on the menu, including in autumn fried fillet of red gunard with an organic parsnip and mushroom sauce and a terrine of goats’ cheese and chestnut with a salad of marinated winter vegetables.

Grand Café 1866
In Grand Café 1866 you can enjoy hot and cold drinks, salads, sandwiches, various hot dishes and desserts. The terrace is open when the weather allows and you can enjoy a beautiful view in the sunshine.
