From nature to aircraft suite: something for everyone

The concept “something for everyone” certainly applies to Hampshire Hotel Fitland - Mill “Dormylle”. There's lots going on around the hotel grounds. Including sports centre Fitland, where you can play squash, visit the gym, swim or attend sports classes. The rural surroundings of Brabant, with its woods, pools, country estates, fields and moorland, offers plenty of opportunities for lovely walks and cycle tours.  

If you prefer to relax, the Brabantse Mill is right for you too. Because the hotel has a unique beauty and wellness resort: The Wellnessboot. On this boat, you can relax in various saunas, an expansive sauna garden, steam cabins, indoor and outdoor baths, bar, restaurant and a complete beauty centre. If you are looking for something special, book one of the two luxury aircraft suites with jacuzzi. These are outside the hotel in a converted marine aircraft.

Around the Mill, there's plenty to do. You can walk and cycle in the beautiful nature areas of Molenheide and Langenboomse Bossen, or visit Nijmegen and Den Bosch for a day of art, culture and shopping. A few tips:

Museums 
In Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen, there is plenty of attention for the town's illustrious Roman history. Here you will learn everything there is to know about daily life when Nijmegen was still the biggest Roman town in the Netherlands. The museum also has one of the biggest pop art collections in our country. In the hills near Groesbeek is the Nationaal Bevrijdingsmuseum 1944-1945. Here you will experience the meaning of freedom based on photos, objects and film clips. In the Sint Jacobskerk in Den Bosch is the Jheronimus Bosch Art Centre, a museum dedicated to the painter Jeroen Bosch.

Tourist attractions
In and around the Mill, you will find characteristic, historic buildings such as the Mariakapel dating from the fifteenth century, the seventeenth Kasteel Aldendriel and Kasteel Tongelaar from the twelfth century. Kasteel Tongelaar is in the beautiful estate Landgoed Tongelaar, where there's something going on all year round: from concerts and exhibitions to wine tastings.

Walking
In nature area Molenheide, you can choose between two walking routes: the red 3 kilometre route or the blue 4.8 kilometre route. In nature area Langenboomse Bossen, you will find a green walking route of 6 kilometres and a red cycle route of over 8 kilometres through the woods and along the water De Kuilen with a recreational beach.

Children
In the hotel grounds, the children can swim, climb on the climbing wall and zip down the zip line from a 15 metre high tower. For monkeys of all ages, there is the indoor play paradise Monkey Town in Wijchen. Particularly during the strawberry season, from March to October, the Aardbeienhof in Gemert is worth a visit. Here, the children can pick their own strawberries and make jam.
