Comfort and luxury in recently renovated Corona

Museums
Panorama Mesdag from 1881 is The Netherland’s largest painting at no fewer than 14 metres high and 120 metres long. And because the canvass is round, you don’t only look at it, you’re also standing in the middle. You can visit Mauritshuis for top items from famous painters from the Golden Age, such as Vermeer, Rembrandt and Frans Hals. The Peace Palace, housed in the International Court of Justice, is one of the most photographed monuments in The Hague. By participating in a guided tour, you can also see the inside of the building.

Music
Festival Classique is an annual, exclusively classical music festival. Classical concerts can be visited at various locations in the city throughout the weekend, with the absolute high point being the Hofvijverconcert. The free music festival Parkpop has been organised annually since 1981 in Haagse Zuiderpark.

Children
In Madurodam, miniatures and their stories come to life. What’s new here is the great “Waddenzee” playground, where the kids can work off their energy. Your world, my world is the permanent exposition in Museon, and there are always changing expositions to see too. Omniversum shows exciting (nature) films on an IMAX screen as large as half a football pitch.

Restaurant/Bar Corona

Just like the rest of Hotel Corona – Hampshire Classic, the Corona restaurant has recently undergone a complete metamorphosis. In the stylish, contemporary ambiance, guests have a wide choice of balanced, seasonal dishes. Head Chef Marco van Rutten manages the (open) kitchen. 

The day starts early and well in Corona, with a fantastic à-la-carte breakfast. Here are some of the breakfast dishes: pain au chocolat, croissant, fresh orange juice, smoked salmon with toast, fresh fruit, authentic Buscaglione coffee and a glass of champagne. There’s also an extensive menu for lunch, high tea and dinner. An absolute top dish from the dinner menu and highly-recommended, is the duck liver, marinated in jasmine tea, grapefruit and tarragon.
As well as a top restaurant, Corona is also a very good location for drinks, with its extensive wine menu, delicious snacks and many cocktails.
