Museums
In the beautiful Abdij van Stavelot you can visit three museums in one location: the Museum van het Prinsdom Stavelot-Malmedy, the Museum van het Circuit Spa-Francorchamps and the Guillaume Apollinaire Museum. In the Valkenburg coal mine, you can learn everything about “black gold” and you can of course also go underground to discover the world of mining. In the coal mine you can also visit the free Krijt- en Carboonfossielen Museum, which includes the largest ever excavated lower jaw of a Mosasaurus.

Places of interest
In this area you really shouldn’t miss a visit to one of the caves. There are local, attractive underground locations, such as Sint Pietersberg in Maastricht, one of the largest marl quarry caves in Limburg, and the famous Grot van Remouchamps close to Spa. At Fort Eben-Emael you can learn everything about the battle fought here on 10 May 1940, at the start of the Second World War. And one of the most famous monumental German constructions is of course the Dom van Aken. Karel de Grote is buried here and more than 30 German Kings have been crowned here; well worth a visit.

Children
Wander through the more than forty historic rooms in Kasteel Hoensbroek. In this oldest and most visited castle in South Limburg, there’s so much to experience for small princes, princesses and their families. The Labyrinth near Drielandenpunt in Vaals guarantees “Oud-Hollandsch” maze entertainment for the entire family.

Taste comes first

Restaurant Fogo
Much of the produce used by Restaurant Fogo comes from the immediate vicinity of the estate and directly from the producer. What’s really special is that the famous and extremely tasty Wagyu beef served in the restaurant comes from cattle roaming free around our own farm. Under the motto “taste comes first” we surprise our guests with as much fresh produce from our own farm as possible. Even the eggs served at breakfast in all kinds of ways come from our own chickens. Restaurant Fogo is located in the estate’s impressive coach house.
