The Planetarium Eise Eisinga in Franeker is a unique museum in a beautiful canal house. The oldest working planetarium in the world is suspended from the ceiling in the living room. The Eerste Friese Schaatsmuseum in Hindelopen, one of the Frisian Elfsteden or “Eleven Cities”, explains the entire history of the Elfstedentocht. Experience is central in Natuurmuseum Frieslân, such as walking along the bottom of a ditch or taking a flight above Friesland.

The Wadden Sea is close-by, which offers excellent possibilities to go “Wadlopen”, or mudflat hiking, with the whole family. Restaurant Roodbaert
When you walk into Restaurant Roodbaert you’ll immediately notice the impressive chandeliers. Something that fits perfectly with the history of Landgoed De Klinze - Hampshire Classic, which goes back to the seventeenth century. The stylish restaurant is open every evening for à la carte dinner. Every season is different here. In the winter months the fireplace is lit and you can enjoy a surprise menu from the Head Chef. When the weather is nice, the terrace doors are open.

Bistro Hoatske
Every day from 7.00 am an extensive and extremely healthy breakfast is served for hotel guests in Bistro Hoatske. The bistro is open all day, so you can take a cup of coffee at any moment, or enjoy lunch or evening drinks. From here you have a beautiful view of the park around the hotel and in winter, a fire will be crackling in the grate.
