“Cruijff”

Hotel is allright but avoid the small rooms under the roof. It is indeed annoying that they ask top dollar for each and every little service or extra. (Parking: 4 euro! Per day!!). Yes there is a pool but very small. Proudly the hotel advertises near the pool that an ex top soccer players took a swim......if you do that, at least spell his name correct!

All of the Standard/Charme and Deluxe rooms are located on the lower floors and are more spacious and are even equipped with a terrace or balcony. “Customer is a cash cow.”

This hotel is all like the TV series: Keeping up appearances. It looks quite good from the outside and the room price seems reasonable, but then it starts: once they got you in, the milking of the cow can begin. This starts with 4 euro per night for parking .....at a hotel not in the mid's of a vast metropolis, but in a small village with ample space around. Then dinner: it's a pretty good restaurant, I give them that, and just below 30 euro for a 3 course dinner would be a fair price indeed if they would not charge 3,50 for a bit of bread , 2,50 for the smallest (2 cl) bottle of water in the world, and 20 euro for a half a liter carafe of house wine. Finally the room. This was situated under the pitched roof with only two skylights high above your head. There's a warning on the room door to close these when you leave, otherwise it might rain in your bed. Come on guys, this is borderline okay for a student dorm or a place for children to play but it's not a serious hotel room, this is an insult. More so because the hotel was 3/4 empty. And still they put us high up this ridiculous attic ! Staff is friendly and professional, by the way, but sure as hell I won't come back.

This room type is our smallest room type, located on the top floor. If you prefer to have more space and even a balcony, I would recommend you to book a Charme or Deluxe room on your next stay. “High quality hotel near the dunes”

I stayed in this hotel many times and every timenit's been a pleasure to be there. The rooms are very beautiful with high quality beds. Some rooms have a whirpool. The swimmingpool and saunas are cleaned very well. I have to say; it's one of the high quality hotels I have seen so far. A plus is the location: in front of the dunes, good for a nice walk with spectacular views over the inlands.

“Motel pretending to be something else”

Was here on a business trip as part of a group. Reception asked my name. They told me I was not registered. A senior staff member hurried to tell his colleague a larger group would be checking in. Since the cozy rooms feel claustrophobic and the charme rooms are just too old and in bad need of renovation, I upgraded myself to a deluxe. An attempt of a renovation was made, but they did forget the bathroom. Spacious room and just ok bed. Nothing interesting or inspiring. The bathroom being the worst. I hate old towels and large bottles of cheap shampoo. A distinct sewerage smell was distant but always present. I hoped for a quit balcony, but the car park is 360 degrees around the hotel. So never a nice view. Even so, it was very hard to get a parking spot. The ones in front of the hotel are reserved for 'trainers'. So it is clear what business has highest priority. It is not the guest staying overnight. When I tried to leave the hotel in the morning, check-out was efficient, but my car was blocked by a delivery truck. Had to wait over 10 minutes before the staff was so kind to do anything about it. Not good when you are in a hurry for business. My room was on the second floor. When you walk up the stairs, you first see an office space with open windows. Just one person sitting in this room, not greeting the guests. Is this the business centre? No it appeared to be the managers office. Strange. Maybe I was happy I did not book this hotel for my holidays.

“If you are a dog owner, dont go to this place”

Since we travel with our dog, we got the s... iest rooms, somewhere between conferece room, celler and storage. The room was not clean, we had to ask for new Spreadsheets cause it was full with dog hair from the previous guest and on the so called balcony witch is under street level, was still dog poop lying. Although they seem to have lots of this 'comfort rooms' we had next to our room an other guest with a barking dog-only seperated thru a thin door. The whole 'wellness area' is anything but...sauna looks almost burned out, the wood is dark and dirty, stove looks very old and cheap, around the stove, they nailed or glued some hardplastic cover to protect the wood from the heat- the effect is that you are in a sauna( witch suppose to be good for your Health) and breath in lovely odors of melting plastic...under the benches its full of dust and things that dont belong there! The Swimmingpool is very small and icy cold. All together not a place to chill or enjoy. The staff at the desk tries to give an air of highclass and thats what it is- Lots of hot air; / Pluses, yes! Excellent food, bit pricy and super motivated and really friendly staff there. Would we ever come back? Nope.
