From town walk to street market

It's obvious that Hampshire Hotel – Lumen Zwolle is in a special location. Where else would you find a luxury, modern and character-full boutique hotel in a football stadium? The nice thing is that you can take a look when the lads from PEC Zwolle are playing a home game. It's also ideal that the historic centre of Zwolle is just a 20 minute walk away. There's plenty to visit by car or public transport too. Things to do locally:

Historic town centre
We recommend a town walk taking in the historic spots from Zwolle's rich past, with or without a guide. Discover the old facades, the fortification wall, the Sassenpoort, the Peperbus and the star-shaped town canal.

Golf
Just 5 minutes by car, near the Wijthmenerplas, is Golfclub Zwolle. Besides a beautiful and challenging 18 hole golf course, there are plenty of practice facilities.

Children
For action and adventure, there are two top destinations for the kids just half an hour away by car: Walibi World Biddenhuizen and Avonturenpark Hellendoorn. In the middle of Zwolle, children (and adults) can learn about nature in Doepark Nooterhof. For the younger children, there is Wijkboerderij de Schellerhoeve.

Events
De Blauwvingerdagen in the town centre are legendary. And every Wednesday in July, there's a large street fair including fun activities and performances. The Stadsfestival is also worth visiting. This eight day festival packed with music and theatre takes place in and on the canals of Zwolle. Culminating in the Thorbeckegracht Concert as a finale.
