“Pleasantly Surprised”

My team-mate and I stayed in the Holiday Inn for 3 nights as I needed a place to stay for the European Laser Quest Championships. The location was excellent, only a short walk away from the Laser Quest where we needed to be. The receptionist was very helpful and showed us how to get to where we needed to be. The room we shared was clean and pleasant. The swimming pool was small but very clean and quiet and open until 10:30pm which is nice after a busy day. My bed was large and comfy, and I slept through the night which really says a lot about the bed, as I was so excited about the Laser Quest Championships that I didn't expect to sleep well at all! However I was pleasantly surprised.

“Rooms okay, need new bathrooms, City Center”

Have stayed here twice on business for a few nights. Right in the city center close to the train station. Rooms to the busy street side and train station have a lot of noise as windows do not seem to be insulated enough. Make sure you ask for a room to the backside of the hotel, these are quiet. Rooms are nothing fancy and the bathrooms are in desperate need of renovation, I would say at least 20 years old. Setting the temperature in the room was difficult and on my last recent stay the warm water heater went early in the morning. When I mentioned that upon checkout all I was told was, "Yes, we are aware", no apology, nothing! Otherwise the reception was friendly upon check in and answered all questions nicely. Must have caught someone with a bad day in the AM. Also should mention that they do have an excellent French restaurant on site 'La Brasserie'. Breakfast in the AM is also quite good by American standards but do have to get everything yourself, including the coffee but good coffee machine makes up for it.

Dear Andy, Thank you very much for your recent stay at our hotel and for posting your feedback! I have forwarded your remark about the temperature in the room to our Maintenance Department for follow up, and I would like to offer you my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused (and for the way my colleague responded). Furthermore, I am pleased to inform you that we are currently planning to renovate our bathrooms. Maybe you will be able to enjoy them upon a possible future stay. “A little outdated but clean”

I just stayed here for a few nights last week during the race and found it to be clean. It was right down the street from the train station and my work. The room was big and clean. The one thing we did find strange was no bed sheet in between the bed and the blanket. I asked for a sheet and was given one right away. It was nice and quiet each night. The bar was great and was cheap. The breakfast was good. I would stay here again if in Eindhoven. My husband hated the pillows lol

“Good city centre hotel”

I stayed here for a couple of nights with colleagues. It is a short walk to the bar and restaurant area of the city. Very friendly staff, an on site car park. So overall it is a handy hotel for business meetings and a night out in Eindhoven.

“Town centre hotel”

We were here for one night, arriving mid afternoon and leaving mid morning the next day, so not a lot of time to experience much of the hotel. Reception was friendly and helpful making this tedious chore as pleasant as possible, including showing which way we needed to walk that evening to get into town. In practice that took less than 5 minutes, including walking through a shopping mall enroute! We had executive rooms on the top floor with a great view and a lot of floor space, a slightly firm king-sized bed and good work desk and a Nespresso coffee machine. All good stuff! Also there is now free WiFi, so to me that makes a big benefit in keeping in tough with business, friends and family. The air-con was also appreciated and was quiet too! The bathroom though was a let down, with its very dated and tired looking tiling, plumbing and facilities. The shower was over a high sided narrow bath and was low pressure but with nice toiletries. I'm told these bathrooms are scheduled for refurbishment. Clearly this is necessary. At night, despite being so far up street noises permeated the room - shouting, cars roaring etc - usual Saturday night city centre stuff. Breakfast was included in our rate and was a very relaxed and well stock buffet of hot and cold items with fresh breads etc. If I was in Eindhoven on business again, I'd probably stay here again.
