“Decent place”

I'd give this hotel the rating good, not average or very good. Nice enough service, a bit shallow maybe, when we arrived. The location is most likely the best in town, just dead center by the river, easy to park in the street outside, at least in December. The room was nice enough, clean and tidy. The bathroom had a tub which is a great plus. The room was a little difficult to temperate though, changing between cold and warm quickly. And the whole room was actually tilting several degrees towards the hallway, which I personally think affected my sleep quality. The house must be really old, and you do wonder how safe that is. Hehe. Free wifi, big plus, the tv worked as well. We didn't eat at the hotel but headed for the brilliant Chez Betty on the other side of the river. I guess I wouldn't mind staying here again, if I ever go back, there's not really that much to do here apart from the absolutely brilliant fortress which will take you a couple of hours if you're dedicated.

“Great place!!”

We went here in November 2013 for 3 nights and really had a great time!!! It was right in the city center and very welcoming. I had looked on tripadvisor and we almost stayed at hotel cosy but after being there I am so glad we did not. I would have been a hike everyday to get there. The bar and resturant area was very nice and the staff was great too! When I go back to Bouillon I will definitly stay here! I love the olf historic feel of the hotel!

“City center with nice meal”

I spend a night here for a vacation trip in the mid of November. The town in a bit quite at the moment but nice for tourist who looking for peaceful small town. It is located just in the heart of the town. The hotel got one restaurant and a bar. I have a family, one queen bed and a twin bed. My room is facing in front of the hotel, which is nice for view. Breakfast and Dinner is fine. The bar serve till 11 pm. The hotel also provides free wifi.

“STUNNING HOTEL, STUNNING VIEW AND ENORMOUS ROOM”

We stayed for one night on 31st October in a stunning and very large junior suite room overlooking the river which was very pretty at night with the castle being lit up. We arrived late and went straight into the restaurant, where the food was incredible, Simon had lamb chops and I had the duck. The desserts were the best we have ever had anywhere. We went back to our room where we had an en suite bathroom with victorian style bath and a balcony from the bathroom. There was also a separate lounge area also with a balcony. At breakfast there was a multitude of things to have, my only criticism is they ran out of the lovely bagettes, but there was plenty of everything else, maybe we should have got up earlier but the bed was too comfortable. There in fact were two double beds in our room. Yes the floors were creaky but that is what you would expect from such a lovely old building. The reception area was amazing and the lift very quaint. We would definately be back to Bouillon and would stay here again with no question. We had room 107 - it was great.

“Old, charming but a little facelift would help!”

A nice hotel with a great location in the heart of Bouillon. The reception area is great - lots of old marble, autumnal colours and thoughtful decor to welcome the guest. Coffee in the area adjoining the restaurant was also great and a lovely Belgian chocolate was added for good taste. The main restaurant was good with excellent service and an interesting menu including hare and wild boar - all of which were well cooked, but at a price! The rating for all of the above would be 4 stars. The downfall was the bedroom - the room was dark and simply a product of times gone by. The bed, ostensibly a double, was in fact twin beds which with the slightest bit of motion moved tectonically away from each other - not ideal when you are there as a couple with a rift valley between the beds! The room was clean but needed a real facelift to help it adjust to the 21st century.
